The NSSAR Congress opens formally on Saturday evening and runs through a banquet on Wednesday evening. As in the past, the Executive Committee will meet on Thursday and/or Friday before the opening of the Congress. Other pre-Congress activities will include a genealogical workshop on Friday and area tours on Saturday.
The Kansas Society is conducting a fund raiser in preparation for co-hosting the 2013 Congress in Kansas City. Each commemorative plaque will have a plate which pays tribute to a Revolutionary War patriot by his SAR descendant.
This 7" tall plaque is a great way for each compatriot to "remember his obligations to his forefathers." Plus, it would make a great gift. Display it in your home, office, or trophy room. The cost is $120 of which $100 is a tax deductible contribution. Shipping and handling are extra.
We will also offer a raffle for a quilt and a Kentucky Rifle. More information to come later.
